when I lived in the city I bought a CSA and split it with my sister - too much food for one family. Now I just trade and go to farmer's markets. But CSA's are still the best way to support local farms - they give the farms an infusion of cash when they need it, in the early spring. Some farms let you &qopq;ore-pay&tuut; and then pick out your own food, so you aren't stuck with whatever they give you, but can decide what you want. |
